so.. when I signed up to do this blog thing, I thought I would post things all the time.. NOPE not the case. Sure I did at first but have kind of lost interest lately. There just doesn't seem to be anything interesting in my life. I always talk about the same people and doing the same things probably because there is absolutely nothing to do in Tupelo besides go to the park, ride around, or go see a movie. I don't drink or party or dance so there's no use in going to nightclubs and bars. Thank God! On the other hand.. if you're wondering if a movie is good or not, just ask because I promise you I see almost every one that comes out. One a week, at least!

I gave my final speech for Speech class Thursday afternoon. I purposefully waited until there were about two students left, nerves STILL got to me. I hate it! I get sick as a dog just going to get my darn teeth cleaned! It's stupid..

I did the usual this past weekend, ahh there were a few exceptions, rode around with Holly, Andrew, and Austin Friday.. windows down, music up loud, laughter.. I stayed with Holly that night, got up Saturday morning because Austin and Andrew dog piled me. Then poured water on me, BOYS! I came home and cleaned the office before my sis and nieces got here. They met us at the movie theater and we saw Letters To God!! What an awesome movie! I recommend it to everyone, but TAKE YOUR TISSUES..it's a tear jerker. We came home and ate supper then went to bed. Got up Sunday morning, went to church (note to self, get up 3 hours early when 8 people need to get ready with only one shower) as usual they were in the car waiting on me and I had to change my purse on the way to church. We came home, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and then went to the circus. We went early for the pre show, got to sit around the ring as the performers danced and did things with the children. Stevie, oh Stevie, and his cute self kept trying to get us to dance and there was no way! lol! We did at the end though. We got an up close view of Suzie the elephant, love elephants! We played in the fountain at Fairpark and took a hike at Veteran's park. Crissy is staying with me this week on her Spring Break, woo hoo!

I hope someone finds something in this worth reading. Have a very blessed week!

What a weekend!!!

This weekend has been just wonderful! My sis and nieces came down Friday. I got my hair trimmed and colored and got my eyebrows waxed, went to eat at Newk's, and then took Cassi to the mall to ride "a white horsey"! The girls and I just came home and was lazy the rest of the afternoon, got ready and went to see the Passion Play at First Baptist Church in Saltillo (it was AWESOME!). While at the play, Court, Cris, Holly, and I had to go potty. We were going to go when they turned to lights out (bad idea..)! Court trips and face plants, thank God the lights were off! Then we were going out of the sanctuary, the sound lady told me to be careful that there was a donkey outside the door, ok I underestimated the donkey, I open the door and it's a donkey the size of the budweiser horses! ROFL! I had on 3 inch heels and it was above my head! Scared me senseless! I went to Junior Drama Team practice for two hours Saturday and didn't do much the rest of the day, oh yea the Eater Bunny visited us early, me included!

Sunday was an awesome day!!! Where to begin...? The Junior Drama Team did their drama, I had to sit with them and keep them in line while Tabby was singing on the praise team. They were wonderful the first service, didn't have to get on to them a single time, not as easily said for the second service. They all got goody bags FULL of candy during children's church and they were apparently hyped up on sugar! I was about to go get some momma's! ;-) I left after they performed the second service, came home and ate a wonderful home-cooked meal by my lovely momma, took pictures with the girls, they left and Holly, Andrew, and Austin came and picked me up. That's when the fun began!!! We went to Veteran's park and took pictures, went to Ballard Park and walked around (more pictures), got icecream and went to Fairpark and played on the merry go round and swings, played in the fountain, then decided to get water balloons and go to their house and have a water balloon fight! It was tons of fun to say the least!!! I am so sore today though!

Well enough blabbering! ;-) Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Rockin' Red Chili

I made some fantastic chili--my own recipe of course. Just sort of made it up as I went along and it is awesome, not to toot my own horn or anything!

Rockin' Red Chili recipe :)

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion (diced)
1 can hot chili beans
1 can dark kidney beans
1 can light kidney beans
1 can pinto beans
2 cans tomato paste
1 can tomato suace
1 jar roasted red bell peppers
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can water
1 pkg. chili powder
1 small pkg. cayenne pepper

Directions: brown meat and onions together. Combine all ingredients in large pot and boil for 20-30 minutes, reduce to a simmer for an additional 30-40 minutes. Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

On my mind...

I have been praying and thinking a lot about my sister and her family, which consists of my sister Stephanie and her three daughters Courtney 15, Cristina 13, and Cassi 3. They are such wonderful blessing in my life and I thank God for them all everyday! Anyone who knows me knows how much I absolutely adore children and babies; they are such awesome blessings from God. I just love getting to hold babies at church, babysit, and spend time with all my nieces and nephews. Some don't live here so I only get to see them a few times a year (which makes the times even more memorable) and yes sadly enough, some I have only seen a handful of times in their lifetime. When I think about why God choses to spread families apart and put them in different states, I can't help but think of the impact we'll have on everyone around us in our different areas of life.

For those of you who don't know me or my family very well, we're your "average" disfunctional family. My sister, Pencie is the oldest with three daughters, bubba (Matt) is the next oldest with five boys, Nathan is next, then Shawn and Monica with a boy and a girl, and then I'm the caboose! Each child was brought into this world in their own special circumstance. I thank God everyday for each tiny blessing of life but I pray even more for their souls and their parents' souls. It breaks my heart to think my loved ones may never spend eternity with me. I also chose to have faith and believe everyday for their salvation. My point is, each one of you reading this probably knows a loved one, co worker, or friend who doesn't know Jesus like we do, so don't forget to pray for them daily.

Satan has attacked our family members and friends long enough! He will not win this battle! Amen!

My Special Girls

I would like to introduce you to 3 of the many joys in my life. Aren't they beautiful?! Thought so.. We have really grown up more as sisters than as me their Aunt. I love them so very much! No matter if it's doing Courtney's hair and make up, laughing with Crissy or just receiving some of Cassi's sweet kisses, it makes my day all worth it!

This is my gorgeously independent oldest niece Courtney. She has a very unique personality. She is a tomboy when she wants to be: racing, adventure, nature.. And she's very girly when she wants to be: make up, getting all dressed up, and even boys ;-). They grow up fast! I learned that from watching this one grow up right before my eyes.

This is my beautiful, quirky niece Crissy! She is soooo funny! I can actually crack up right now thinking of some things she's done. She never ceases to make me laugh. No matter how my day's going she'll make me laugh, no matter if it's just "hey girl" via text, I know how she's really saying it and I laugh. Simply put, she's awesome!

This is my adorable, sweet baby niece Cassi! That smile and her OH SO SWEET kisses will melt my heart any day! She is very shy when she wants to be yet very sassy at other times. I love her so much. It seems it was just yesterday I was holding her in the hospital all wrapped up in that little blanket. She couldn't say Raven when she started talking so she calls me Ra Ra.. Now she can say Raven but I tell her that's not my name :-)

Together they'll go through life and learn and share one amazing Aunt, if I do say so myself! ;-)

Hi everyone..

well..what to tell? I'm new to blogging for starters. I have seen all the fun my friends are having with blogs so I thought I'd give it a shot. Let me start by telling you a few things about me. I love God, he is such an AWESOME GOD! I really have no desire whatsoever to see the kind of person I would be without him in my life. I am very blessed to be an aunt to lots of sweet children! They are so precious! I love to go to the movies with friends but most of all, I love to cook and bake! I enjoy trying new recipes and even making recipes of my own! The favorite part of cooking for me is watching friends and family enjoy my food. I am a very artsy person. I love scrapbooking and photography. Well this is enough for now. Hopefully I will bring some laughter or joy or just insight to someone's life with my blog! ENJOY!
